The demonstration area is located in the middle of Fenghua and Ningbo’s central urban area, with a total planned area of about 17.3 square kilometers. Driven by the co-urbanization effect of rail transit, it has become the leading bearing site for a new round of Ningbo urban space expansion and a new hightlights for Fenghua’s future economic growth.

The design starts from the planning direction, uses a clear landscape planning strategy to find out the five major landscape directions, combines the five urban systems 「Ecology, Residence, Culture, Work and Leisure」, starting from the central environmental metropolis center. This competition plan closely follows the theme of the ecological waterfront park. Based on careful study of the site conditions and future urban planning, a set of feasible conceptual plans are proposed: under the premise of fully ensuring the safety of the county river dams, both artificial construction and ecological repair technology. The northern ecological corridor is used to introduce and consolidate the local ecological community, worked with the local water network, forming a landscape effect of pleasant water scene, making this design a model window for the future urban area.
