The West Bay Park is planned to cover an area of nearly 490,000 square meters, located on the main urban road from the airport into the urban area. It is a necessary place for Metro Line 11 and the River Expressway. It is a key node in the vibrant coastal zone of western Shenzhen. The West Bay Park is a world-class leisure coastal space, which can be built into a superior recreational slow-moving space and an integrated green ecological network structure, combining the unique mangrove wetland environment of the Bay Area with human living and opening the sea-friendly era in western Shenzhen.

This competition proposal aims to create a world-class coastal vitality garden, provide superior recreational and slow-moving conditions, and at the same time create an overall green ecological network structure, laying a solid foundation for the ecological environment of the conservation area. In the design, highlight the 「Natural Ecology, Sports and Leisure」, make full use of the concept of 「Sponge City」, highlight the three characteristics of mangrove culture, Xixiang regional culture and coastal culture, and meet the use of requirements that diverse needs of different people in the life, entertainment, education and other aspects of the region.
