Yantian District is surrounded by mountains and sea, and the coast is winding and winding. There are natural beach attractions such as Dameisha and Xiaomeisha. Wutong Mountain is majestic and steep. There are many singing birds and the mist covered by cloud making Sanzhoutian Mountain a nice vibe landscape. Tourist attraction. The Yantian Mid-Levels Park Area is 49 kilometers long. It’s the another public space open and shared with natural resources after the coastal plank road in Yantian District. It will provide citizens and tourists with a new generation of leisure and tourism destinations, and will focus on showing the unique mountain and sea landscape of Yantian District. It will become a world-class public space comparable to the High Line Park in New York and the Southern Ridge of Singapore.

The core value of this case is 「Refuse the spectacle and create experience」, and the entire area is divided into four different landscape types: Urban Park Zones, Eco Mountain Park, Wild Mountain Park and the Sea-Mountain Connections. The sense of experience gradually shifts from the surrounding environment of the city with more human intervention to the original wild natural form. The four fire-prevention trails here not only meet the basic patrol function, they are also the avenues for all kinds of people to experience nature, forming the context of the Yantian new life. The four rhythms of mountains and seas along the nature traffic network unfold gradually. In addition, this project has designed 100 landscape sketches for different areas, inspired by the five senses, including images, senses, touch, taste and smell. The view frame of each landscape sketch is carefully designed according to the specific site.

The MLA+ and HOPE Design Consortium won the bid for the project in early 2020. It is currently under construction and is expected to be completed in 2021.
